Raymond Bernard Robin, Jr.

October 21, 1955 - August 24, 2021

Raymond Bernard Robin, Jr., age 65 and a resident of Franklinton died Tuesday afternoon August 24, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 21, 1955 and was a former longtime resident of New Orleans where he was a member of the Masonic Lodge Dante #174. Raymond was a talented machinist working at Avondale Shipyards for 32 years and had lived in Washington Parish for the last 21 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Raymond loved football and was a huge LSU Tigers fan. He loved woodworking and made large clocks and other items for his family, neighbors and friends. Raymond liked trees and planted numerous ones in his yard and he enjoyed listening to his favorite oldies and country music. He was always a people person and loved spending time with his family.

Survived by: Wife: Denise Phillips Robin of Franklinton; Daughter: April Robin of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Ray Ray and Austin; Nephews and Nieces: William Ranard, Tommy Ranard, Raelynn Ranard, Stacey Freeman, Derek Scherer; Cousin: Marcel Thore, Jr.; Mother in law: Brenda Moore; Sisters in law: Kim Lamparski, Johnny Penton; Also numerous extended family members and many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond B. Robin, Sr. and Carmen Thore Robin, sisters Ella, Cathy, Nettie, infant sister Marie, an uncle Marcel, Sr. and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday August 31st from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 8:00 pm Tuesday with Bro. Leon Dunn officiating.
