Coraleen Ervin

September 20, 1959 - August 22, 2021

Funeral services for Coraleen Ervin, age 61 and of Tylertown, Mississippi, will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Stevens and Reverend Pat King officiating. Burial will be in the Seals Cemetery in Washington Parish, Louisiana.

Ms. Ervin passed away peacefully in Tylertown, Mississippi on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was born September 20, 1959 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Dorothy and Hershel Ervin. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Mike Sessions.

Ms. Coraleen was loving known as “CoCo” to her family and friends. She was a very special, humble, caregiver to all of her nieces, nephews, and brother-in-law Mike. In the early 1990’s until the early 2000’s she enjoyed volunteering at Golden Living Center in Tylertown, Mississippi. Coraleen had a servant’s heart and never met a stranger. She loved to attend worship servies at Stateline Missionary Baptist Church and Crystal Springs Baptist Church. CoCo will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Survivors include her siblings Rodney (Cindy) Ervin, Sylvia (Winston) Stogner, and Doug (Brandi) Ervin; nieces and nephews Scott (Allison) Ervin, Lori (Chad) Smith, Mandy (Pat) King, Matt (Brittany) Sessions, Jacqueline Ervin, Grace Ann Ervin, Amber Ervin, Taylor Ervin, Braswell Ervin, Brandon Ervin, and Laura Leigh Ervin; 9 great nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving family and friends.

Pallbearers are John Fortenberry, Scott Ervin, Matt Sessions, Chad Smith, Mason Smith, and Braswell Ervin.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 1:00 PM until service at 3:00 PM.

The Ervin family would like to thank the staff and special nurse, Terry Falks, of Diveriscare in Tylertown, Mississippi for the outstanding care given to CoCo.
