Dora Simmons LeRay

July 30, 1932 - August 9, 2021

Dora Simmons LeRay, age 89 and a resident of Franklinton, died Monday afternoon August 9, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Living Center. She was a native of Alabama and former longtime resident of Denham Springs. Dora was an animal lover all her life, and she owned a dog-grooming service, LeRay’s Boutique in Baton Rouge, for over 20 years. She also bred and sold dogs for many years, including Poodles, Yorkies and other breeds. Dora loved being in the outdoors and taking care of her beautiful landscaping and the small ponds on her property.

Survived by: Granddaughters: Letiche LeRay and her children Brody Jones, Victoria Cecchi, Albert Ceccci, Jr, Tania LeRay and husband Billy Mersereau, and her children Jeremy Addison, Hunter, Addison, Alexis Schilling, Tiffany and David Anthony and their children Devin Anthony, David Anthony; Also numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by sons Richard LeRay, James LeRay, Charles LeRay, Edward LeRay, husband Stanley LeRay, mother Annie Ruth Simmons, grandchildren Angelica LeRay and Stanley LeRay.

Dora will be laid to rest next to her parents in Alabama following a private family ceremony.
