Ricky Hamilton Brumfield

Ricky Hamilton Brumfield, born to the late Bessie and Willie Brumfield, took a journey on Sunday, July 4, 2021 to reach his Heavenly destination.
Ricky was the seventh of eight children. He attended school in Mt. Hermon until the family moved to Baton Rouge, LA where he attended Baton Rouge High School and graduated.
He always loved music and played the keyboard and drums. He played with the Crystal Band, the finest band and last Level Sixx. He was employed at Calandro’s Supermarket for 20 plus years.
He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters and brothers Delone Morgan (Ace), Willie Brumfield (Carol), Lamont Brumfield (Andrea), Larry Brumfield, Willie Alexis and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Willie A. Brumfield and Bessie Brumfield; sisters, Sandra Brumfield and Tavonja Turner; sister-in-law, Mary Brumfield.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by funeral service at 11:00AM at The Greater Greene Chapel AME Church, 1232 N. 32nd, St. Baton Rouge, LA with Rev. Spears - Pastor, Rev. Ranches Hall - Officiating. Interment - Crystal Springs Cemetery in Mt. Hermon, LA.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
