Obituary

Jeffery Lynn Spell

March 18, 1955 - July 24, 2021

Jeffery Lynn Spell, age 66 and a lifelong resident of Covington, died Saturday evening July 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He served in the Merchant Marines from 1971 to 1984, where he traveled to ports and locations all over the World. Jeff was an accomplished Master Carpenter all his life. He was exceptional with his hands and with an engineer’s mind could build or make anything he put his focus toward. Such as a full-size sailboat, that after just a month of study and construction, he was able to sail with for many years. Later in life, he also enjoyed painting to keep him busy. Jeff was always a gentle, caring person that put the needs of his family and others before his own. He would rather brag about the accomplishments of his family than anything he had done. Jeff will be forever remembered for his kind spirit and many talents.
