Sidney Ray Frazier

February 19, 1957 - July 12, 2021

Sidney Ray Frazier, age 64 and a resident of Franklinton, LA, died Monday July 12, 2021 at University Hospital in New Orleans, LA after a second battle with lung cancer. He worked for many years in the dairy business for Ronald Schilling and later worked in yard and property maintenance for the Bickham family. Sidney enjoyed fishing, gardening and canning his vegetables. He was an excellent cook that loved to make a huge buffet style dinners for his family. Sidney was also an outstanding baker that made delicious cakes to share with his family and friends. He had a special place in his heart for his pet dog “Buddy Ro”.

Survived by: Father: R.J. Frazier of Franklinton; 4 Sisters and Brothers in law: Ruth and Stanley Horning, Ann and Mike Henley, Debbie Frazier all of Franklinton, Jo and Murray Joe Duncan of Mt Hermon; Brother and Sister in law: Leroy and Emelda McElveen of Mt. Hermon; Sister in law: Annie Ruth McElveen of Mt. Hermon; Special friend: Stephanie Beverly of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Iona Mae Hunt McElveen Frazier, 2 sisters and brothers in law Dot and Ronald Schilling, Opal and Charles Williams, sister Faye Morgan and brother Dale McElveen.

Visitation will be at Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church (37300 Sunny Hill Road, Mt. Hermon) on Friday, July 16th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3:00 pm Friday with Rev. Randall Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Hermon.

Pallbearers will be the following members of American Legion Post 24 of Bogalusa Funeral Detail and Honor Guard: Donald R. Kuhn, Sr., Bobby Latino, Johnny Runfalo, Johnny Dominguez, Marvin Creel, Jimmy Burdette, Billy Norman
