Margaret Ann Laurent Pittman

January 13, 1938 - June 13, 2021

Margaret Ann Laurent Pittman was born on January 13, 1938 in Bogalusa, La to the late Walter Laurent and Mary Ella Laurent. She departed this life on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA.

Margaret or affectionately called “Aunt Marg” married her late husband Albert Pittman in 1956 and enjoyed 63 loving years of marriage before his death in 2019. From this union they had two daughters, Olga and Vivian.

She was known for giving unconditional love and was always good for a laugh. She leaves to cherish her memories, a brother, Leonard (Ella) Laurent of Bogalusa, LA; a special nephew that she raised as her own, Renard Brown of Bogalusa, LA; one niece, Angela Laurent of Bogalusa, LA; two nephews, Andrew Laurent, and Micheal Laurent both of Bogalusa, LA; five special cousins, Delores Magee, Precious Tillman, Verdine Cotton all of Bogalusa, LA, Louise Gussett of Los Angeles, CA, and Vennie Raybon of Chicago, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Ella Laurent; her husband, Albert (A.B) Pittman; daughters, Olga and Vivian Pittman; sisters, Audrey Faye Laurent, and Beatrice Laurent; five nephews, Perry Wayne Laurent, Andre Laurent, Ricard Brown, Leonard Laurent, Jr., and Roderick Brown.

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Crain and Son’s Funeral Home.

Her services will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Nathaniel, pastor officiating. Burial will follow to Bogalusa Cemetery.
