Rusty Fornea, Executive Director at ADAPT, has placed signs throughout the community to bring attention to the upcoming Community Unity Day to be held at Bogalusa Cassidy Park on Saturday, June 26th, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The purpose of this event is to bring the community together to share resources, educate our citizens, and have a good time with family and friends. COVID-19 Vaccinations will be available at no charge. There will be free giveaways and drawings for door prizes.
Prevention and Social Service vendors that will be participating in this event include ADAPT, Access Health Louisiana, Beacon Behavioral Health, Bogalusa Head Start, Brilliantz Mindz, Crowns For A Cause, Drug Free Communities, Florida Parishes Human Service Authority (FPHSA), Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LAFASA), Louisiana Department of Health, LSU Ag/SNAP/4-H, Mary Bird Perkin’s Cancer Center, NAACP, Partnership For Success, Primerica Insurance, Rape Prevention Education, Rural Behavioral Health, Safe Harbor Domestic Violence, Southeast Louisiana Home Health, Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, Washington Parish Sexual Assault Center, Washington Parish Homeland Security, and Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Arts and Craft vendors that will be participating in this event include Champagne’s Creative Creations/Kid’s Creations, Dee’z Aromas, Paparazzi Jewelry, and PVP by D&B LLC.
Food vendors include 4th and Goal Sandwich Shop, A Taste of Jazz, Anneci Harris Catering, Bigg Joe’s Catering, Bogalusa Football Association, Duke’s Seafood, Khristy Snacks Zilla, New Beginning Ministries, Polish Sausage and Redbeans by Joyce, Pride & Hope Ministry, Sneaux Balls 2 Go, and Sweet Sensations.
