Lois Williams Luper

June 04, 1933 - May 13, 2021

Lois Williams Luper, age 87, born in Angie, LA, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021. 

Lois was a devout Christian and faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado, LA where she attended regularly until failing health prevented her from attending. 

She is survived by daughters Charlotte (Charles) Fasola and Valerie (Bruce) Driscoll; two sons, Willie (Ann) Harris and Richard (Barbara) Harris; daughter-in-law, Angie Luper; grandchildren Chad (Karen) Harris, Brad (Lori) Harris, Chad (Nicole) Boyd, Ryan (Shyler) Harris, Drew (Allie) Harris, Jennifer (John) Waits, Leslie (D.J.) Purvis, Erica (Jake) Cameron, Jennifer (Eric) Webb, Mallery (Aaron) McNully, Kristy (Joel) McCarty, and Khaled Waliagha; sister Mayvon (Maurice) Cole; step-sister Glenda (Daniel) Keaton; 25 great-grandchildren; special niece Lynn (Dale) Kennedy, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elda Ray Luper; parents Willie and Bernadine Williams; step-mother Bonnie Williams; sons Dale Luper and Reed Luper; sister Johnnie Lou Rester; brothers and sister-in-laws Jewel and Jeanette Williams & Willie J (Dick) and Georgine Williams; and brother in law Glynn Seal.

A special appreciation is given to the employees of Resthaven Living Center where she resided for the last 3 years and Community Care Hospice.

Graveside services will be held at the H. H. Williams Cemetery on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Thomas officiating.  Pallbearers Chad Harris, Brad Harris, Chad Boyd, Ryan Harris, Drew Harris, and Herbie Williams.
