St. Tammany Fugitive Arrested in Franklinton

On April 30, 2021, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office of the possible location of a fugitive from St. Tammany Parish. Washington Parish deputies, accompanied by officers from the Franklinton Police Department, went to a residence on 14th Avenue and arrested Jake Mills, age 24, on outstanding warrants from St. Tammany Parish for contempt of court and sexual battery.

Mills was transported to the Washington Parish Jail where he was booked as a fugitive. He will be held in Washington Parish until he is transferred to the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

“We are pleased to cooperate with our law enforcement partners in St. Tammany Parish,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal, “and they are always willing to help us when we need them. Fugitives need to understand that law enforcement efforts are not limited to parish boundaries.”
