Dustin A. Dykes

September 11, 1995 - February 13, 2021

Dustin A Dykes, age 25, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 13, 2021 after a fatal car accident. Dustin Dykes was a resident of Bush. He was born September 11, 1995. He is a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 2014. He was active in sports during most of his childhood, excelling in baseball. Dustin was avid hunter and spent most days that he could in the woods during hunting season. He worked as a welder and then offshore. He had planned on attending college in the Fall for nursing to follow in his mother's footsteps.

He survived by his parents, Phillip W Dykes of Bush, and his mother, Angela G Dykes of Bogalusa; two sisters, Misty R Dykes of New Orleans and Kyleigh J Crawford of Mississippi; two grandmothers, Romona T Rogers of Bogalusa and Ethel Dykes of Bush; aunts, Cathy Esquivel of Bogalusa and Phillis Dykes of Bogalusa; uncles, Carl Gregg Jr (Melissa) of Varnado, Dent Dykes (Sarah) of Bogalusa, Otha Tynes (Gina) of Arkansas, Gussie Tynes Jr (Margie) of Mississippi, and Country Tynes (Victoria) of Sun. Numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Jackie R Rogers and Dent Dykes Sr; three uncles, Bruce Dykes, Christopher Tynes, and James Matthew Rogers; aunt, Wyvon Holliday; cousins, Stevie Dykes and Duane Holiday; great grandfather, Gussie Tynes Sr; great grandmother, Irene Tynes.

Visitation is at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, February 19, 2021 10 a.m. until time for a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gussie Tynes Jr officiating, proceeding to Pounds Cemetery to be laid to rest.
