Randy Earl Holden

September 2, 1956 - January 1, 2021

Randy Earl Holden, age 64 and a resident of Franklinton died Friday January 1, 2021 at University Hospital in New Orleans. He graduated from Pine High School then began a long career as a truck driver. Randy drove locally for several companies before driving for Dairy Farmers of America for several years. He had most recently driven a tanker for Air Products for the last 24 years. Randy enjoyed working on his 1968 Chevy Camaro and he could fix just about anything that had an engine, as he was a very good mechanic. He loved watching the New Orleans Saints and had a special place in his heart for his pet Yorkshire Terrier “Benz”.

Survived by: Wife: Diane Newman Holden; 2 Sons: Cole Holden, Cory Holden; Grandson: Kason Holden; 2 Brothers and Sisters in law: Jimmy and Denna Holden, Timmy and Sylvia Holden; Mother in law: Ruby Newman; Brothers in law and Sisters in law: Roy Penton, Rick Newman, John and Faye Newman, Debbie and Lynn Spears; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Earl Holden, Jr., mother and step-father Elaine Moore Holden Gillis and Joe Gillis, a brother Terry Holden, sister Patricia Penton Bahm, father in law Levon Newman.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday January 5th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. John Mark Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyson Cemetery.
