Dennis Wayne "Bubba" Gill

March 5, 1965 - January 23, 2021

Dennis Wayne "Bubba" Gill, age 55 and a resident of Bogalusa died Saturday night January 23, 2021 at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital. He was a heavy equipment operator for Kostmayer Construction for nearly 30 years. Dennis was affectionately known as “Bubba” to his co-workers and those close to him. He loved fishing in our local rivers and creeks or any pond he could cast a line in. Dennis was an outdoorsman that loved to ride his Yamaha motorcycle and work on his trucks. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survived by: Wife of 24 years: Debbie Dunaway Gill; Sons and a Daughter in law: Justin Dunaway, Jason and Jenn Dunaway; Grandchildren: Xander Dunaway, Lucas Dunaway, Mason Dunaway, Bentley Dunaway, Trin Dunaway, Dean Dunaway, Paige Williams, Sophia Williams, Karah Williams; Aunts and Unlces: Rita and Ronald Mizell, Geraldine Penton; Nieces: Felicia Forrest, Becky Thomas; Nephews: Brad Forrest, Ben Thomas, II; Great-nieces and great-nephews: Eden Thomas, Bryanna Thomas, Erica Thomas, Ben “Tres” Thomas, III, Elijah Thomas, Beau Voisin; Father in law and Mother in law: Ray and Wanzie Everett; Brother in law: Prentiss Forrest; Also numerous cousins and many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents Delmar Gill and Aline Bedwell Gill, brother Ricky Wayne Gill, sisters Linda Young, Denise Forrest, nephew Eric Thomas.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday January 27th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Brad Forrest, Ben Thomas, II, Justin Dunaway, Xander Dunaway, Mike Penton, Johnathan Jones
