The Washington Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has advised that a “Slight Risk to Enhanced Risk” of severe weather is possible this evening (December 31, 2020) and overnight.
They advise that an initial round of severe thunderstorm activity is possible in the mid to late afternoon hours (2-6 PM). A second round of severe thunderstorm activity could develop along the cold front in the overnight hours (9 PM-3 AM).
Possible impacts are wind gusts greater than 60 mph, tornadoes, and large hail.
