Tropical Disturbances Today

Disturbance 1. Tropical Storm Zeta has moved on and now located over western North Carolina.

Disturbance 2. A large area of disturbed weather, associated with a pair of tropical waves, is moving from the tropical Atlantic across the Lesser Antilles and into the eastern Caribbean Sea.  A tropical depression could form over the weekend or early next week while the system moves westward across the central and western Caribbean Sea. Formation chance through 48 hours is at 20% and formation chance through 5 days is at 60%.
