Jack F. Rainey

November 10, 1934 - October 6, 2020

Jack F. Rainey, age 85 and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, died early Tuesday morning October 6, 2020 at the Butterfly Wing of Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was the owner of Jack’s TV, a television repair shop, for over 40 years. He loved traveling to different parts of the country and watching his favorite afternoon TV shows. In his younger days, Jack loved to frequent the legendary Louisiana hayride and still had a love of classic country music through his life, passing that passion along to his daughter and granddaughter.

Survived by: Daughter: Kim Pease of Rogers, AR; Step-daughters and Spouses: Sue Ellen and Scott Shelton of Prairieville, Kattie Trippi of Watson; Grandchildren: Ashleigh Brianna, Brittany and Jonathan Tynes, Bradley Roberts, Meghan Ashcraft, Abagail Trippi, Gabrial Trippi, Emma Trippi; 2 Great-grandsons: Kaleb and Noah; Also numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his sons Mike Rainey, Mickey Rainey, parents Robert Rainey and Lena Hopper Rainey, longtime companion and best friend Emma Jean Alford McDaniel.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery (25393 Mt. Pisgah Road, Mt. Hermon, LA) at 2:00 pm Monday October 12th with Bro. Todd Vickery officiating.
