Obituary

Lucille Carter

September 17, 1954 - October 05, 2020

Lucille Carter, known to everyone as "Juicy Lucy",  peacefully transitioned from her life-long earthly labor to receive her heavenly reward on Monday evening, October 5, 2020 in the care of her devoted loving daughter Mrs. Tora (Minister Wallace) Pittman.

She was born to Mrs. R. Lee McClenton and (the late) Mr. W.J. McClenton.  She became a faithful and devoted member of the Holy Temple COGIC under the leadership of Supt. Elder Leslie Fields Jr., until her departure. Mrs. Lucille faithfully performed her church duties as an Usher, choir member, board member and co-organizer for "This is your Life" with longtime  "special friend" , Sister Delores Myres.

She was preceded in death by her long-time soulmate (the late) Carl Carter,  her father W.J. McClenton; a sister Florence Brumfield and a brother Jessie  McClenton.

She is deeply mourned by her loving mother, Mrs. R Lee McClenton, two sisters Gloria Jefferson and Effie Hatcher; two wonderful children; Brentona (Nancy) McClenton and Tora (Minister Wallace) Pittman. She was a proud and loving grandmother of six; a great-grandmother of five; and a great-great-grandmother of three.  She also leaving to mourn a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, godchildren and friends who will always love and cherish their memories of "Juicy Lucy" forever. Special Friend, longtime traveling companion and confidant, Mrs. Delores Myres will also greatly miss and cherish her cousin forever and a day.

Services will be at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time for the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
