Betty Reviere Crain

October 12, 1948 - September 15, 2020

Betty Reviere Crain, age 71 and a resident of the Isabel Community, died Tuesday afternoon September 15, 2020 at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church that loved serving the Lord. Betty never met a stranger, and always loved sharing the gospel with people that she met. She was always honored to help others in need and help with any fundraising projects for people. Betty worked for 10 years as a substitute teacher at Fifth Ward Junior High that enjoyed serving the children she had the opportunity to teach. She loved going to flea markets and singing gospel music, alongside her husband, at churches and nursing homes throughout the area.

Survived by: Husband: Randy “Butcher Man” Crain of Isabel; Daughter and Son in law: Joy Lynnette Barber and David Barber of Franklinton; Son: Joey Leon Withers of Isabel; Grandchildren and Spouses: Dakota and Kacy Withers, Austin Lane Barber, Maddyson Barber, Jaden Withers, Meagan Withers, Kelsie Withers and Kyle Rosalies; Great-grandchildren: Kylie Kihnel, Beretta Rosalies; Brother and Sister in law: Ottis Paul and Nannette Reviere of Bush; Sisters in law and a Brother in law: Kathy Crain, Kimberly and Les Stewart; Special Friends: Denise Arabie, Pearl Ballard, Frankie Thompson, Lucy Elder; Also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ottis R. Reviere and Ella Maude Strange Reviere.

Visitation will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church (19840 Lee Road, Franklinton, LA) Friday September 18th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3:00 pm Friday with Rev. Derek Dantin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
