Matthew James Stringer, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on December 18, 2019 in Covington, LA at the age of 33. He was born in Bogalusa on May 18, 1986.
Matthew loved motorcycles and being involved in drag racing.
He is survived by his father, Michael Stringer of Bogalusa, LA; his mother, B.J. Stringer of Bogalusa, LA; one brother, Dustin Michael Stringer of Bogalusa, LA; and his grandmother, Betty Stringer of Bogalusa, LA. He is also survived by a niece and his nephews as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James L. Stringer; and Carline and Earl Smith; and several aunts and uncles.
His arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA. Services honoring his life will be held on December 21, 2019 at First Church in Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until his funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Travis Houston will officiate. Interment to follow at Magee/Kennedy Cemetery in the Oak Grove community.
