Jerry Miller was called home on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 59 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. Jerry attended Franklinton High School and later received a high school diploma from Job Corp.
Jerry was very comical and enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his family and friends. Jerry loved children and helping out in any way that he could. Jerry worked as a mechanic, welder, disc jockey and steel worker until his death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughter, Cynthia (Harold) Ruffin of Forsyth, Georgia; one son, Curtis (Joniece) Pinestraw of Hammond, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Harlem Ruffin; eight grandsons, Harold, Jr., Harrison, Harrys, Harland Ruffin of Forsyth, Georgia, Curtis Jr., Kane, Kash, MyKhy Pinestraw all of Hammond, Louisiana; his mother, Faye Miller of Franklinton, LA; seven sisters, Shirlene Warren of Baton Rouge, LA, Stella (Floyd) Dixon of Hammond, LA, Jackie (Vincent) Wilson, Catherine (James) Davis both of Franklinton, Louisiana, Gwen (Darren) of Osceola, AR, Marilyn (Houston) Stovall Ra’Shaunda Primus both of Hammond, LA; two brothers, Lionel Ricks and Charles Ricks, Jr. both of Hammond, LA and a very dear friend, Vertia Dickerson and a hos of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Major and Stella Miller; one sister, Cynthia Miller Roberts; and a stepbrother, Marvin Ricks.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 2:00PM – 6:00PM family hour from 6:00PM – 7:00PM.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00AM at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness with Elder Kevin Golden – Host Church Pastor; Elder Esco Burton Pastor Officiating. Interment – Plainview Church Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
