Cresta Nell Wheat Morrison gained her wings on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
She is survived by two grandchildren Dorian Morrison and Rhiannon Morrison of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Sally Wheat Robertson and Peggy Wheat Herring (Bruce). She is also survived by a very special great niece, Brittany Varnado Adams (Scott) who took care of her during her last 8 months of life and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis Morrison, her son, Mark Wayne Morrison, her parents, Curtis and Alma Wheat, as well as three brothers, Reverends Glynn Wheat (Minnie), Ned Wheat and Jerry Wheat and one sister Sarah Stafford.
Cresta was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge until moving back to Bogalusa in January.
We also would like to give special thanks to the staff at New Country Living for caring for Ninnie as if she were family.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, 216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA. The Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 23, 2019 in Green Oaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA.
Poole Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
