Murdock Magee
October 12, 1942 - October 18, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Murdock Magee on October 18, 2019 at the age of 77. Murdock was born October 12, 1942 to the late Walter and Gertrude Magee Sr. He grew up in Franklinton, Louisiana.

In his young adult years Murdock moved to New Orleans, LA and was a construction worker for the city. A couple of years later he moved back to Franklinton, La and met his soulmate and honey Jeanette Causey along with her daughter Madeline Causey. Jeanette and Murdock were married on March 21, 1974. To this union they had two daughters, Stephanie Magee and Yolanda Magee. Murdock worked at Texaco Mechanic Shop in downtown Franklinton, LA for 15 years before he began his own mechanic shop at his home.

He gave his life to Christ and joined Hayes Creek Missionary Church in the early 1990s. He was baptized by the late Reverend Linwood Bolton Sr. He later joined the Original Hayes Creek Male Chorus where he was a baritone.

Murdock Magee was “Mr. Fix It”. He could fix anything that came to his mechanic shop and he did! He worked on all types of automobiles. His trade quickly grew into a passion for working on automobiles. He had the most wonderful personality and he met no strangers. No matter who you were, he would spark up a conversation and talk for hours on hand. He made everyone that met him feel like they had known him for years.
