Impaired Woman Crashes Head-On into School Bus

An impaired driver crashed head-on into a school bus in Slidell early Friday morning (August 23,
2019). Luckily, no children were on board at the time of the crash.

Slidell Police report that Alexandra Alley (age 26 and of Baton Rouge) was apparently impaired and appeared under the influence of narcotics. Officers also located suspected narcotics inside of Alley’s vehicle.  Slidell Police also report that witnesses stated Alexandra Alley crossed over the center-line of the roadway. This caused a head-on collision into a school bus, causing the front wheel of the bus to fall off. The bus spun out of control, causing it to crash into an unmarked Louisiana Probation and Patrol police vehicle. The bus driver sustained minor injuries. The Louisiana Probation and Parole officer did not have any injuries. Alley was transported to a local hospital where she is currently being treated for minor injuries.

Upon her release, Alley will be booked into Slidell City Jail and charged with: Driving Under the Influence (2nd Offense), Driving Under Suspension, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Legend Drug, Vehicular Negligent Injuring, and Improper Lane Usage.
