Freddy Moses
August 08, 1948 - June 23, 2019



Freddy Moses, age 70 and a resident of Varnado, La., passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019.  Freddy was born to William Moses and Oralee Keys on August 8, 1948.

He graduated from Wesley Ray High School in Angie and graduated from Southern University in New Orleans with a Bachelor's in Social Work. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he worked for the State Of Louisiana as a Social Worker in the Office of Child Protection Services for over 20 years where he retired. You could find Freddy singing in church events with a voice that was anointed by God. He is most known for singing "My Soul is Anchored in the Lord" and everyone has been blessed by hearing him sing it. 

He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Car al (Farrah) Moses, Cashanna Moses, and Sherri Fields, 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Services will be at Union Chapel AME Church with Visitation scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by the Funeral.
