December 10, 1928 - April 06, 2019
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
So, He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away
And although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
On April 6, 2019 our Mother, Lucille Walker Penton went home to be with Jesus. She was born December 10, 1928.
Survived by 2 daughters, Julia and Richard Cook, and Mary Garner. Also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two daughters, Evelyn Thornhill, and Janice Penton.
To God Be the Glory and Honor; Amen.
Graveside services will be held at the Pounds Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA on Tuesday, August 9, 2019 with her grandson, Rev. Rick Cook officiating.
