William “Bill” Richard Thompson passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at his residence in Bogalusa, LA at the age of 77. He was a Bogalusa native, born on September 24, 1941.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Thompson of Bogalusa, LA and his son, Rick Thompson of Dallas, TX.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents John William and Lena Fortenberry Thompson.
The service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation starting at 9:00 am and continuing until the service begins at 11:00 am in the chapel. Rev. Clay Norwood will officiate the service and interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Superior Avenue Baptist Church, 439 Superior Ave. Bogalusa, LA 70427.
