Bobbie Jean Crowe Gaines, age 82, died Wednesday December 12, 2018 at her home in the edge of Tangipahoa Parish. She was a 1954 graduate of Franklinton High School. Bobbie worked over 40 years as a corner maker/seamstress at Rutter Rex in Franklinton then finished her career at the Tylertown location. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir, especially the Living Christmas Tree program. Bobbie loved to travel with her husband in his semi-truck as he went around the country. She always enjoyed taking care of her flowers.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: DeDe and Gene Passman of Franklinton; Son: Eric Gaines of Franklinton; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild; Sister and Brother in law: Robbie and Hugh Lindsey of Franklinton; Also numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gaines, daughter Donna Rick, great-grandson Brody Devall and brother Harlyn Crowe.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday December 14th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Rev. Calvin Crowe and Rev. Walter Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Crowe Cemetery.
