Cynthia Allision Baker Anderson “CAB” of Bogalusa, Louisiana passed away December 15, 2018 surrounded by love. She was born to the late Johnny and Ester Baker in Bogalusa, LA July 22, 1036. She married Fletcher Anderson March 21, 1961; to this union three children were born. She was a devoted member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
Cynthia Anderson graduated from Central Memorial High School in 1956. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Grambling University and earned her Master’s from Southeastern University.
Cynthia taught Physical Education and Mathematics in the St. Tammany Parish School System for 38 years. She was a member of the Professional Women Service Club. Cynthia was a champion for civil rights and equality for black people.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Fletcher Anderson; three children, Sonai Smith, Gamble Rudd and Patrick Anderson; grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 11:00a.m. Rev. Stanley Nathaniel, pastor officiating. The interment will be held in Bogalusa Cemetery.
