Candidates and Voters Should be Applauded

All of those candidates who offered their services as public servants should be applauded. The
process of qualifying and campaigning is not easy. They are not guaranteed victory and failing to win is a humbling experience. For those who failed in their election bid, take solace in a quote from Orson Wells: “Popularity should be no scale for the election of politicians. If it would depend on popularity, Donald Duck and The Muppets would take seats in senate.”

We also applaud those who considered the candidates and found the time to vote. Those who voted are the ones Thomas Jefferson said ““We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” SO THIS IS YOUR GOVERNMENT!
