Wet-Dry Election is December 8, 2018
Two informational meetings are scheduled: Monday, November 19, 2018 and Monday, December 3, 2018. Both meetings begin at 6:00 pm at Franklinton Town Hall.
In February, 2018 a Petition was circulated in Franklinton and 661 signatures were obtained. Of those 661 signatures, 604 were qualified which allowed an election to be called. The Petition was circulated so that we could vote to allow higher content alcohol to be served in the restaurants in Franklinton.
In any Wet-Dry election, Louisiana State law requires that all five of the below described options must be on the ballot in order to allow the electorate to vote again on all Wet-Dry options.
Proponents seeking the changes assert that this is a very important revenue source to the Town of Franklinton and it is critical that the three options we currently have are voted back in again. Option #5 is the one that is should be changed.
Please consider voting on the options as shown below.
