STPSO Says Victim was Not a Victim

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Bryan Parker (31) of Covington in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries that occurred last week in the Covington area. All of the burglaries were outside residences and of vehicles that were unlocked.
During the course of the investigation, Parker became a suspect and had initially reported himself as a victim. However, detectives determined Parker was not a victim and linked him to the crimes.
Parker, who was already being held in the St. Tammany Parish Jail on unrelated charges of Attempted Simple Burglary, was booked on the additional charges of Simple Burglary (16 counts) and Filing or Maintaining False Public Records
Sheriff Randy Smith continues to remind residents to always remove valuables from vehicles and always lock your vehicle doors.
