Myrthe E. Erwin, a resident of Kentwood. passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at The Guest House in Baton Rouge. She was born July 13, 1929 in Kentwood and was 88 years of age. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Gail Lorio and husband, Randy, Pride and Donna Erwin, Baton Rouge; 2 grandchildren, Marcy Linxwiler, Baton Rouge and Crystal Datz and husband, Nathan, Pride; 4 great-grandchildren, Aspen and Sage Linxwiler and Brady and Logan Datz; 3 sisters, Zilpha Lea Smith, Onzia Anderson, and her twin sister, Myrle Gates and husband, Curtis.
Preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Erwin; parents, Ashford and Mae Varnado; brother, Donald Varnado.
Visitation at Spring Creek Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018. Services conducted by Dr. Danny Smith. Interment Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek.
