Alvin A. Pennington, of Bush passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital at the age of 72. Alvin was born in New Orleans and was retired from the St. Tammany Parish School Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Alvin and Dorothy Pennington, and his sister, Janet Pennington.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Pennington and three sons, Shawn Pennington and his wife, Laura Pennington, Earon Pennington and his fiancé, Jane Poiroux, and Dean Pennington and his wife, Michelle; one daughter, Theresa Pennington and her fiancé, Paulie Cabana; five grandchildren, Deegan Pennington, Michael Hanna and wife, Kayla Hanna, Travis Hanna, and William Hanna; and five great-grandchildren, Everett Whitney-Hanna, Michael Hanna, Travis Hanna, Weldon Hanna, and Skylar Hanna.
Visitation will be in the chapel at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Crawford Cemetery in Bush, LA. Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate.
