Randy Brumfield
July 26, 1953 - June 17, 2018



Randy Brumfield, age 64 and a resident of the Lawrence Creek Community, died Sunday morning June 17, 2018 at his home. He was a graduate of Franklinton High School that soon after began a career at Washington-St. Tammany Electric Co-Op in 1972. Randy worked as a ground-hand and later as a lineman before rising to the rank of crew foreman and supervisor before retiring in 2015. Randy also was the owner/operator of Brumfield Electric for several years and worked off-shore as a driller for a few years. He was a member and deacon at Hays Creek Southern Baptist Church. Randy loved fishing and enjoyed frying those fish for his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his cows and working his land on his many tractors, especially spending time bailing hay each summer. Randy was talented with his hands building things and woodworking. He also enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. Randy cared deeply for his family, grandchildren and many friends.

5 Sons and Daughters in law: John Scott and Mingo Brumfield of Lawrence Creek, Joseph Bradley and Dana Brumfield of McComb, MS, Christopher Crowe of Monroe, Matthew and Molly Crowe of Tylertown, MS, Jason and Nora Crowe of Sequin, TX; Grandchildren: John Coty Brumfield, Andrew Cullen Brumfield, Andrew Scott Brumfield, Autumn Terese Badon, Jacob Steven Crowe, Elizabeth Ann Crowe, Jaylon Hobgood, Emma Leigh Crowe, Samuel Grant Crowe, Addison Bradley Brumfield, Spencer Reese Brumfield, Phillip Asa Brumfield; Great-grandchildren: Rilynn Michelle Brumfield, Kyli Kaydence Brumfield, Cullen Athan Brumfield, Marley Amante Badon; Brother and Sister in law: John Reese and Laura Brumfield of Franklinton; Sister and Brother in law: Regina and Doug Stevens of Franklinton; Special Family Member: Hazel Jones of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents John R. Brumfield and Geneva Thomas Brumfield, a brother Reggie Brumfield and grandson Tyler Crowe.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday June 19th from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Wednesday with Rev. Ronnie Chassion, Dr. Joe Baugh, and Rev. Frederick Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Hays Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
