Bogalusa Police Interrupt Burglary of Incarcerated Man's Residence

Responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a residence in the 700 block of Huron Avenue, Bogalusa Police Department Patrolman Anthony Jones found a vehicle parked under the carport of the residence. Jones found a back door open at the residence and saw two male suspects moving a refrigerator toward the rear door. Jones also observed the suspect vehicle contained numerous pieces of computer and electronic equipment and a trash can lid next to the vehicle contained numerous copper wires and electrical cords.
The suspects were identified as Devon D. Moses (38) and James V. Thompson (23), both of Angie.
It was learned that the suspects entered the residence through an open window under the carport and that Moses and Thompson did not have permission from the owner to be at the residence. The owner was in prison.
Moses was charged with Simple Burglary, Probation Hold and Failure to Appear in the Bogalusa City Court. Thompson was charged with Simple Burglary.
