Robert "Robbie" Louis Applewhite, born August 21, 1958 in Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his residence in Henleyfield, MS at the age of 59.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Glenda Applewhite of Henleyfield, MS; two sons, Ira Applewhite of Henleyfield, MS, and Chad Smith of Pittsboro, NC; his father, Louis (Diane) Applewhite of Bogalusa, LA; his mother, Barbara Applewhite of Bogalusa, LA; a sister, Cindy Doell of Rochester, NY; a brother, Brandon Applewhite of Angie, LA; eight grandchildren, Lexi, Levi, and Lainey Applewhite of Henleyfield, MS; Cody, Morgan, Konnor, Marlee, and Finley Smith of Pittsboro, NC. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Joey Applewhite.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at New Henleyfield Southern Baptist Church in Henleyfield, MS on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Justin Anderson, and Rev. Larry Mizell officiating. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield Cemetery in Henleyfield, MS.
