Obituary

Lois Fontenot Bickham
July 14, 1934 - May 20, 2018



Lois Fontenot Bickham, age 83 and a resident of Franklinton, died early Sunday morning May 20, 2018 at her home. She was a longtime nurse at the McGehee Clinic and later at Riverside Medical Center. Lois was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had recently been attending First Pentecostal Church of Bogalusa. She loved reading and studying her Bible and enjoyed listening to her favorite Southern gospel music. Lois also enjoyed traveling and had gone on several cruises. Earlier in life, she loved camping with her family in the mountains, at the Grand Canyon and other areas. She loved taking care of her family and always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Karl L. Bickham, Jr. and Jeannine Branton Bickham of Franklinton; 2 Daughters and Sons in law: Karla Bickham Tullos and Larry Tullos of Flower Mound, TX, Konnie Bickham Crain and Michael Crain of Varnado; 9 Grandchildren and Spouses: Len and April Bickham, Leslie and Ryan McGhee, Cole and Wendy Bickham, Megan and Rick Thomas, Shea and Carrie Tullos, Krystal and Chase Henry, Jamie Burkhalter, Kyle and Whitney Burkhalter, Leigh Ann and Jonathan Kittrell; 14 Great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Karl L. Bickham, Sr., an infant sister Dorothy Fontenot, sister Bonnie Mae Talley and brothers Ray Fontenot, James Fontenot, Richard Fontenot and George Fontenot
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday May 22nd from 9 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 am Tuesday with Rev. Houston Travis and Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Libeau Berthelot, Community Care Hospice and those who helped take care of her during her illness.
