Pizza Delivery Person Robbed Near Franklinton

On March 7, 2018, a pizza delivery person was robbed on Harvey Road north of Franklinton after being flagged down by three individuals whose faces were covered. Two males initially wanted to pay for the pizza with a $100 bill, which is believed to have been counterfeit, but then produced pistols and took the driver's cell phone and the pizza.
Patrol deputies and detectives investigated identified one of the robbers as Rondrick Johnson King (17) a resident of Harvey Road. He was arrested and jailed with his bond set at $100,000. The two other subjects are still at large and the investigation continues. Additional arrests are expected.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “Mr. King is starting out young with his criminal activity and I hope this arrest will serve as a wake-up call for him to do some serious soul searching and take whatever steps are necessary to turn his life around. It is always a dangerous situation when a firearm is involved in the commission of a crime and I am so grateful that the pizza delivery driver was not harmed. Many thanks to our fine officers who made a quick arrest in this matter.”
