Bogalusa: Two Arrested in Joint BPD and WPSO Action

On Monday (November 20, 2017) the Washington Parish Sheriff's Department requested the assistance of the Bogalusa Police Department at a residence in the 900 block of Avenue H. The Officers were at the residence looking for a large sum of money from an earlier theft. 
Verbal consent to search the residence was given and Officers located a baggie containing a white powder substance of suspected cocaine lying next to a scale in the living room area. Officers entered the bedroom and located a loaded syringe with a spoon lying next to it. Officers also located twelve pills, multiple syringes and spoons, and an ashtray containing roaches of suspected marijuana.
Duane J Whitney (37) of Bogalusa was arrested on the charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Legend Drugs (3 counts), Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Marijuana. Amber N. Palmer (32) of Bogalusa was arrested on the charges of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
