Amanda Lynn Weathers
February 17, 1981 - October 25, 2017


AMANDA LYNN “MANDY” WEATHERS, age 36 and a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday morning October 25, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Slidell, LA and St. Tammany Parish, before attending high school in Elgin, TX, before moving to Washington Parish in 2005. Mandy worked as a customer service representative with General Dynamics in Bogalusa. She was affectionately known as “Gator” to her classmates and friends and she also wrote several articles for the school newspaper. Mandy really liked line dancing and listening to her favorite 70’s and 80’s music. She had a great sense of humor and always had a way of making people laugh. Mandy enjoyed the outdoors and Mardi Gras parades. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and loved her children very much.
Survived by: Son and Daughter: Traevon Richardson, Nevaeh Richardson; Mother and Step-Father: Margie and John Farace of Franklinton; Father: John Weathers, Jr. of Texas; Sister: Adrienne Weathers and her fiancé Chad Maus of Chalmette; Brother: John Weathers, III of Texas; 3 Nephews: Dillon Hartmann, Conor Hartmann, Tyler Hartmann; Aunts and Uncles: Bonnie and Brian Larche, Kim and Robbie Lejeune, Geraldlynn and Joe Lucia, Pamela and Greg Lafontaine, Michael and Patty Nussbaum, Dotsie and Eddie Cook; Cousins: Brian Larche, Jr., Kristen Larche, Joey Lucia, Kami Lucia Dufour, Blaine Lafontaine
She was preceded in death by grandfather George Nussbaum, Jr., grandparents John Weathers, Sr. and Faye Weathers, great-grandmothers Agnes Nussbaum, Edna Incardona, uncle Henry Nussbaum, aunt Debbie Weathers, and great aunt Frannie Fazende.
Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church (1220 14th Ave., Franklinton, LA 70438) Wednesday November 1st from 11 am until 3 pm. A funeral mass will be held in the church at 3 pm Wednesday with Father Rick Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
