On October 9, 2017, Chief Layrisson reports that a routine traffic stop Monday (October 9, 2017) led to the arrest of Earl Pines (25) and Julian Alexander (28).
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no visible license plate. Pines was the driver and notified the officers that there was a weapon in the vehicle and cooperated with the officers’ commands to secure the weapon for officer safety. The weapon was a semi-automatic AK-47 rifle.
However, Pines could not be in possession of a weapon due to an ongoing protective order and Alexander, the passenger, is currently on parole.
Earl Pines was charged with a Violation of a Protective Order and Julian Alexander was charged with Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
