The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is reestablishing its Junior Deputy Explorer Post No. 1324 and boys and girls interested in future careers in law enforcement between the ages of 14 and 20 are invited to an informational open house Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Pearl River Training Center.
The Law Enforcement Explorer Program, which is a program of Boy Scouts of America, provides young adults interested in future careers in law enforcement an awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences and other activities.
Participants will receive career-focused training and will serve the community by assisting the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office in non-enforcement and volunteer liaison capacities.
