Gerald Cleveland Smith
January 29, 1944 - July 19, 2017

 Gerald Cleveland Smith, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his home at the age of 73. He was born on January 29, 1944 in Lyman, MS. He served in the United States Navy. He worked for Washington Parish Correctional Institute for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hileman of Bogalusa, LA; three daughters, Kelli (Jerry) Dillon of Bogalusa, LA, Carrie Poche of Ponchatoula, LA, and Kacie (Josh) Smith of Bogalusa, LA; his son, Jeffery (Amie) Smith of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Jeannie (Butch) Hand of Bogalusa, LA, and Susan (Paul) Taylor of Long Beach, MS, four brothers, James (Diane) Smith of Denham Springs, LA, Donnie (Beth) Smith of Bogalusa, LA, Dennis (Karen) Smith of Bald Knob, AR, and Chris (Rhonda) Smith of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren, Ronnie (Cara) Pourciau, Madison Smith, Brianna Smith & Caden Smith, Alex Dillon and Lily Dillon, and Isaac Brady; great-grandchildren, Hunter Pourciau and Mason Pourciau.
Visitation will be held at Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating. Committal Services will be held at a later date.
