Peggy "Peggy Sue" Mitchell Newman
November 12, 1961 - June 10, 2017


Peggy "Peggy Sue" Mitchell Newman, a resident of Kentwood, passed away at 8:30 PM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home. She was born November 12, 1961 in Independence and was 55 years of age. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy D. Newman; 3 daughters, Joni D. Ratliff and husband, Scott, Lindsey M. Newman and Landie A. Newman, all of Kentwood; 2 grandchildren, Christian J. Ratliff and  Chloe G. Culbreath; 2 sisters, Susan Mitchell and Pamela Gill, both of Kentwood; 2 brothers,  Cameron “Bull” Mitchell, Kentwood, and Patrick Mitchell, Progress, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Arbie and Dorothy Mitchell; brother, Robert Mitchell; sister, Barbara Mitchell, grandparents, Luther and Susie Kirby and Roy and Lizzie Mitchell and 2 infant grandchildren.
Visitation at The Lord's Church from 10 AM until religious services at 12 Noon on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Services conducted by Rev. Don Meadows. Interment Newman-Strickland Cemetery, Kentwood.
