WILHEMINA “WILLIE” WESTMORELAND HOLLIDAY,
AGE 91 and a resident of Mt. Hermon, died at 12:45 pm Sunday February 26, 2017
at her home. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Pentecostal Church and a former
librarian with the Washington Parish Library for many years. Willie loved
gardening for both flowers and vegetables. She was an avid reader that also
enjoyed watching her favorite action/adventure reality TV shows.
Survived by:
3 Daughters and Sons in law: Betty Holliday of Anahuac, TX, Lynn Andre’ of Baton
Rouge, Judy and Ken Guillot of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; 3 Sons and a Daughter in
law: Daniel Holliday of Mt. Hermon, Eddie Holliday of Springfield, Jerry and
Debra Holliday of Walker; 13 Grandchildren; 21 Great-grandchildren; 3
Great-great-grandchildren; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded
in death by her daughter Gayle McNeese, her husband Milfred Holliday, grandson
Matthew McNeese, parents Hubert Westmoreland and Ivy Johnson Westmoreland, a
sister Juanita Givens, brothers Coley Westmoreland and Joel Westmoreland and son
in law Benny Andre’.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday March
1st from 10 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in
the funeral home chapel with Dr. Joe Baugh officiating. Burial will follow in
the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you
to her caregivers, Debbie Ellis and Carla Fenyes, for their loving support
through the years.
