Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that Daeshawn Woolridge (19) and Christopher Woolridge (23) who escaped the parish Jail in Amite yesterday (February 19) about 3:00 pm are back in custody today as of roughly 10:00 am this morning.
Daeshawn Woolridge is a Department of Corrections inmate incarcerated on two Attempted second degree murder charges, Aggravated assault by a drive-by shooting and a Parole violation. His brother Christopher, a parish inmate, was being held on two FTA warrants, Aggravated flight, two counts of Aggravated battery, two counts of Resisting arrest and an Attempted second degree murder charge.
Sheriff Edwards described an immediate multi-jurisdictional response that set up and maintained a perimeter within which the brothers were known to be. The area was described as a large wooded with dense undergrowth. The two were spotted attempting to break the perimeter and apprehended without any injuries to members of law enforcement.
