Foster parents Stanley Billiot, 53, and Melinda Billiot, 51, residents of Highway 1055 in Mt. Hermon, were arrested on December 14 by Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives. They were placed in the Washington Parish Jail with each being charged with two counts of cruelty to juveniles. Both were released on December 15 after posting a $5,000 bond each.
The matter was handled by Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives working in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. Further details are being withheld to protect the privacy of the juveniles who were removed from the home.
Sheriff Randy Seal stated, “In such matters, we work closely with the Department of Children and Family Services. The protection of children is always a priority with the Sheriff’s Office.”
