Fugitive Arrested in Angie After Fleeing Into Woods

Responding to an unsubstantiated report of domestic violence on Monday (November 28), WPSO deputies encountered Kelzon Terrel Clark (23) of Angie. When a deputy attempted to handcuff him, Clark broke free and fled into nearby woods.  A manhunt ensued with assistance from a canine team from Rayburn Correctional Center.
The canine team and handlers located Clark hiding in a densely wooded area, taken into custody without incident, and booked on the charges of being a fugitive from Bogalusa and resisting an officer by fleeing on foot.
Clark was wanted by the Bogalusa Police Department for Assault By Drive-By Shooting (2 counts), Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments, and Attempted First Degree Murder (2 counts)
“Based on the evidence of all the charges against him, I think Mr. Clark has found a new home inside the Washington Parish Jail,” said Sheriff Randy Seal. “Our officers and officers from Rayburn Correctional Center did an excellent job identifying Clark, locating him in the woods and placing him in jail. I am so grateful for the outstanding working relationship we have with Warden Tanner and the staff at RCC. They are always ready to assist, day and night, regardless of the hour.”
