Obituary

Sedonia Brock Dillon

September 14, 1929 - December 22, 2020

Sedonia Brock Dillon, born Sedonia Brock to the late Corrine James Brock and Noah Brock on September 14, 1929 in Mt. Hermon, Louisiana lived her life in full expression of Proverbs 31 woman. Sedonia, the third of three girls, was reared in a Christian home where she was taught the word of God and the importance of knowing Jesus Christ as their personal savior. At an early age, Sedonia was baptized and devoted herself faithfully and wholeheartedly to serve her savior in each season of her life. Sedonia was steadfast and a loyal member of the Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church for over seventy years where she started her family’s training and teaching in BTU, Bible study, Vacation Bible School, choir, mission, youth convention and baptism under the leadership of the late Rev. R. L. Primus.

She was married to the late Julius Dillon and to this union five girls and two boys became the joy of their lives, not to mention she was a very proud grandmother and great grandmother who adored her grandchildren. Though, Sedonia was educated through Mt. On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, family and friends surrounded Sedonia as she faced the sunset of her days on earth and entered her rest joining her precious Savior in eternity.
