Brenda Mae Dillon Calecas
October 11, 1949 - December 20, 2020
Brenda Mae Dillon Calecas, age 71 and a resident of Franklinton died Sunday morning December 20, 2020 at University Hospital in New Orleans. She was a 1967 graduate of Bogalusa High School before attending Sullivan Vocational School, where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse certification. Brenda then worked for over 20 years at the Bogalusa Medical Center. She was a people person with a big heart and loved caring for the needs of her patients. Brenda enjoyed sewing. watching her favorite TV show Law and Order and she liked to collect all types of Holstein cow figurines. She always loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Staci and Eddie Bergeron of Franklinton; Granddaughter: Jori Bergeron and her special friend Damian DeBeer; Mother: Jenell Forbes Dillon of Franklinton; Brother and Sister in law: Dennie and Verda Dillon of Isabel; Nieces: Tina and Ralph McKean, Nancy Dillon; And many special friends. Also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father John C. Dillon and her grandparents Cleveland and Viola Dillon, Reacie and Lillie Mae Forbes.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa at 1:00 pm Wednesday December 23rd with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating.
